"Penn & Teller: Fool Us", the magic competition where competitors perform tricks for the magician-comedian duo Penn & Teller, will start airing season 2 on The CW, following their first run on Britain's ITV.
Aspiring magicians are invited to perform their best trick to try and fool the world-famous team of Penn & Teller, who will get to see the trick only once and have to immediately try to work it out.
Anyone who succeeds wins the right to perform with Penn & Teller in their CELEBRATED show at the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The live studio audience and the TV audience watch along with Penn & Teller as they try to figure out the secrets.
As of season 1, eleven magicians have been able to trick Penn & Teller.
"We love so much being beaten... It's very rare to think of situations in life where the people who have been beaten enjoy it more than the people who are cheering for it to happen," Penn Jillette told us.
“It’s a tremendously nerve-racking show for us,” Teller says. “In a normal competition show, the judges have nothing at stake. We have our pride. We love getting fooled by people, but we don’t love getting fooled by everybody.”
“Almost anytime I see a guy walk out with a deck of cards, I get scared,” he admits, “because card guys are more likely to fool me. … So I always get quite terrified when they come out.”
With "Penn & Teller: Fool Us" season 2, more great magicians will get a chance to perform with the magician-comedian duo. The new season will premiere on Monday, 6 July, with "Phone-y Business" at 8.00 pm (EST) on The CW. You can also stream it online via tvshowzonline.com
